这首歌的创作背景是为了纪念雷锋塔的重建。雷峰塔于2002年10月重建竣工，在庆祝雷峰塔落成的音乐大典上，何训田首次携800多人合唱了这首《春歌》。歌曲自始至终反复吟唱这四句禅宗诗句。歌声由远及近，初始轻盈飘渺，而后荡气回肠。曲调无一点变化，却让人跟着缓慢的鼓乐与歌声进入到另一种境界......
